10/16/2018 0 Comments Women: Trojans/Southampton fight backTrojans ladies clawed back a 2-1 half-time deficit to draw 2-2 with Swansea City and post their first Investec Women’s Western Conference point.
They took the lead through Charlotte Steinbrecher, who picked up a rebound off a blocked shot by Georgie Atkins, but by the break Trojans were trailing. Although Trojans enjoyed the majority of the attacking play, their goalkeeper AJ Jenkins had to make some cricial saves before Cita Haines made it 2-2 with a superb reverse stick shot. Southampton's Zoe Stride scored a last gasp equaliser to salvage a 2-2 draw with Teddington, whose two-goal lead was cut initially by Lou Hopkins but then, after fine goalkeeping by Claire Hill, wiped out by Stride in the final play. It was Southampton's third draw in four.
