10/16/2018 0 Comments Winchester lose unbeaten start in KentProfligate finishing in the period leading up to half-time culminated in Winchester being beaten 3-1 at Tunbridge Wells and surrendering their unbeaten South League Premier Division start in the process.
Winchester appeared to have picked themselves up after conceding an early penalty corner goal and when Ben Hibberd equalised they sensed a possible victory. “We wasted three great chances to score before the break,” mused disappointed coach George Harris. “In the second half we struggled to string five passes together and lost the ball countless times in midfield and were luck to only concede the two Tunbridge Wells got. “I felt we were still in the game at 2-1 due to heroics from Dave Jones in goal but they wrapped it up with a minute to go.”
