A Trojans Invitation side, including youngsters from Fareham and Winchester, carried off the HDM Easter international tournament trophy in Holland. They won all five group matches before beating the host club HDM 5-2 in the final, Matty Bell finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with ten goals and Peter Symonds’ starlet Toby Dudson named top individual player. Trojans began with a 3-0 win over German side TSV Mannheim before thrashing South Africans Menopark B 8-0. A third win followed against HDM (4-2) before Proteas Menlopark A provided the toughest group contest, the South Africans providing difficult to break down. The final group game was against Switzerland, Trojans expanding a 2-1 interval lead into a 10-1 thrashing with Sam Allsop scoring the goal of the tournament and Winchester’s Will Fleming netting four times. Trojans won the final 5-2.
