Trojans’ prospects of finishing top of the Investec Women’s Western Conference and featuring in the end of season play-offs are fading fast.
A 2-0 defeat by new leaders Stourport, followed by a goal-less draw with Isca, has left Trojans second in the log with only two matches left to play. It was an equally unsuccessful weekend for Havant and Fareham in the men’s Western Conference. Havant surrendered a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 at relegation threatened Cheltenham, while Fareham twice held the advantage in Exeter, only to lose 4-3 to Isca.
