10/17/2019 0 Comments Southampton ladies have six appealSouuthampton remain hot on Fareham’s heels at the top of the South Women’s League Division 3B with a 6-0 win over Hailsham – all six goals coming in the second half !
They were on a winner once Sue Merry and Zoe Stride scored back-to-back goals within ten minutes of the start of the second half. The opening goal came from a well worked short corner and the second from a defence splitting pass. Two-up, Southampton began to enjoy lots of space and midway through the period and after a neat triangular move Bernie Jones scored her first SHC goal. Southampton doubled their 3-0 advantage in the final quarter, with Stride making it 4-0, Merry converting a penalty stroke and Jones deflecting the sixth.
