Pip Stewart converted a 56th minute penalty corner to give Trojans ladies a 1-0 win at England Hockey West Conference rivals Gloucester City.
“She converted one of the many opportunities we created,” reflected Trojans captain Jenny Peebles, who thrashed Oxford Hawks 6-0 in their league opener. “Gloucester are always a tight, defensively minded side to play against, so it was another good result for us.” Trojans chase a third straight win at Isca in Exeter on Saturday.
