It’s now or never for Trojans in their fading quest to lift the South League Premier Division 2 title.
If leaders draw or win their final game at Wycombe on Saturday, the trophy will be theirs. But if the third placed Buckinghamshire club were to become only the second club this season to beat Guildford, then the door will remain ajar for Trojans, provided they roll over Staines and Tulse Hill & Dulwich. It’s not beyond possibility, though – Wycombe are in a rich vein of form, having scored 20 goals in winning their last five matches since Trojans drew 0-0 with them. While Guildford were mauling Tulse Hill 5-0, Trojans eased to a 4-0 win at relegated Slough, where KES youngster Matt Bell, Ben Cole, Paul Hilton, and Scott Summers were on target. * Fielding a depleted side, Trojans exited the Tier 2 Championships at the quarter-final stage, beaten 7-2 by powerful Surbiton.
