Visionary Fareham coach Steve Lemon always thinks ahead of the game, so if Tulse Hill had any thoughts that fielding 11 girls on the park would disrupt his tactics, they were sadly mistaken. Within two minutes, Field (above left) had opened her account and by half-time had scored twice, with Hannah Oldham adding her name to the list of scorers (once again sadly missing from the league website) before Natalie Davis got what proved a consolation effort for the visitors. 3-1 at the break. Field scored twice more before Fareham added three more goals in the last ten minutes through Georgia Collins, Laura Pendleton, Rebecca Reavell. Lemon, squeezing every bit of juice out of the occasion, then sat down and relaxed to watch his beloved Pompey soar into a 3-0 lead at Roots Hall. That was as good as his afternoon got …
