Former Havant hit-man Ben Alberry took his season’s goal tally to 23 as Tunbridge Wells strengthened their hold on the South League Premier Division 2 leadership with a 3-1 win over Trojans at Stoneham Lane.
Alberry opened the scoring for the Kent visitors after a mazy run, in which he weaved past three challengers before calmly putting the ball out of goalkeeper Steve Cole’s reach. Colin French and Ben Frost went close for Trojans before Dave McNee equalised. But Tunbridge Wells scored twice in the second half through Alberry and Sam George to clinch the win points.
