A ninth minute penalty conversion by Ollie Baxter got things under way for Chi, who made it 2-0 from an Andrew Sparshott field goal. Teenager Alex Pendle [pictured] popped in another short corner before Dan Mason got Bedford on the board three minutes before half-time. Richard Blakesley made it 4-1. Sam Mee replied for Bedford, whose hopes of a point disappeared when Pendle got Chichester’s fifth.
