 Fareham seconds bungled a staggering SEVENTEEN penalty corner opportunities - and missed a penalty stroke - as they crashed to a promotion denting 4-1 defeat by lowly placed Hampshire/Surrey Regional Division 1 visitors Oxted IIIs at Henry Cort.
Club stalwarts Colin Bradbury and Nigel Cook looked on in horror as Fareham probably blew their prospects of a top three promotion clinching finish in the process. Scotsman Christian McKenna did manage to hit the target, while England youth prospect Fergus Jackson drilled a penalty stroke against the goal frame.
