Fareham ladies came from behind to beat Havant 3-2 and clinch a place in next month’s Hampshire Women’s Cup semi-finals.
They trailed at half-time to a well worked Havant penalty corner routine, but Rachel Rake levelled the scores after a great drive down the right flank by Hannah Oldham. Vicky Field steered Fareham ahead, deflecting Jo Faulkner’s pass into the bottom corner. Teenager Sophie Raymond made it 3-1 after Field had chased down a Rake pass. Havant clawed a second goal back late on, but Fareham held on to tee up a home semi-final tie against New Forest at Henry Cort on April 15. New Forest knocked out Aldershot & Farnham in a penalty shoot out – the teams drew 1-1 in normal time – as did Winchester, who needed strokes to get the better of City of Portsmouth. Trojans go to Winchester in the semi-finals on the back of a 3-1 win over Basingstoke.
