Fareham and Havant have teamed up with sides from Surrey and Sussex to form an Elite Summer Hockey League, which begins on Thursday evening (May 13) and will be played over the next seven weeks, with 13 matches in all.
Brighton & Hove, Chichester and Guildford are the other clubs involved, all having been denied any competitive hockey since the National League was suspended before Christmas last year.
Fareham host Havant in the Elite League curtain raiser at Henry Cort on Thursday, 7.30pm., with Chichester away to Brighton & Hove.
