Toby Lelliott put Winchester ahead but Henry Mihall, who went on to score all of Bournemouth’s goals, levelled for the Dorset side. A slick reverse stick shot by Scott Rawlings and a scrambled third by O’Sullivan gave Winchester a 3-1 interval lead, which the pair improved with a goal each soon after the break. At 5-1 up, Winchester switched goalkeepers. Mihall cashed in with three goals for Bournemouth, but by then O’Sullivan’s own hat-trick goal had effectively sealed their fate.

Major’s sweet reverse stick strike then won the match – and the cup – for double winning Winchester, who also won the Hampshire League championship this season.
